Very fresh. I freeze them in 1 lb. bags. Take 5 per day for arthritis. I believe more than that at one time could be toxic. Much less pain since eating them.

I order 4lbs of Brazil Nuts for my husband's birthday gift every year, and Superior Nut Company is far and wide the best place to get them from. While my husband loves all varieties of nuts, the elusive brazil nut here and there in a Sams Club package of mixed nuts was not enough to satisfy him. (I also I got really sick of watching him paw through the entire container for his brazil nuts, and then leave me a bunch of cashews!) These nuts are spectacular, tasty, and last him until around July. We freeze the packs he is not using until he's ready for them. Superior Nut Company has provided us with fantastic service, wonderful products, and gives me peace of mind when I have to select a birthday gift every year so close to the holidays. great service. got my order quickly. nuts are pricey and I was a bit apprehensive but I was pleased.

It was easy to order and once the back order was released it came quickly. However someone neglected to let me know it WAS back ordered. I called to see when I would receive the order as it seemed to be a while since I placed the order. Once they got it in it was shipped priority and came quickly.
